Siam Amazing Park - formerly Siam Park City - is Bangkok’s largest water and amusement park, covering over 100 acres in the eastern suburbs. Despite being one of the oldest theme parks in Thailand (it opened in 1980 and has been updated steadily since), it remains excellent value and genuinely fun. Here is the practical guide to visiting without wasted time or overpaying.
Tickets and prices
Siam Amazing Park sells zone-based tickets as of 2026:
| Ticket | Adult | Child (under 130 cm) |
|---|---|---|
| Water Park only | approx. ฿350–400 | approx. ฿250–300 |
| Amusement Park only | approx. ฿350–400 | approx. ฿250–300 |
| Combo (Water + Amusement) | approx. ฿450–600 | approx. ฿350–500 |
Children under 90 cm typically enter free. Pricing changes seasonally and for special events - confirm at the official Siam Amazing Park website or your booking platform.
Online booking via Tiqets or Klook usually gives the best rate with no queue at the entry gate. Walk-up prices on busy weekends add approximately ฿100 per person and involve a ticket desk queue of 15–30 minutes.
The water park zone
The water park covers the heart of the complex and is the main draw for most visitors:
Wave Pool: The centrepiece - a large artificial wave pool generating waves up to 1.5 metres. It is genuinely large and the waves are strong; popular with adults and older children. Arrive early for a good lounge chair position around the pool edges.
Body Slides: A bank of high-speed body slides including straight drops and spiral chutes. Some require tubes (provided), others are mat-slide format. Height restrictions apply - typically 1.2 m for the tallest slides.
Kamikaze Slide: The park’s signature ride - an almost-vertical drop slide that generates serious speed. Height minimum approximately 1.4 m.
Lazy River: A slow-moving river circuit around part of the water park perimeter. Good for cooling off between rides; tubes available.
Children’s Water Playground: Shallow pools, gentle slides, and spray features for under-12s. Lifeguards are present throughout.
Speed Bowl / Tornado Slide: Enclosed speed slides emptying into catch pools. Popular and frequently queued at peak times (11:00–14:00).
The amusement park zone
The dry amusement zone runs alongside the water park and is included in the combo ticket:
- Boomerang Coaster: A looping roller coaster with forward and backward elements
- Super Spiral (Free Fall): A free-fall drop tower - genuinely tall, genuinely fast
- Viking Ship: Classic pendulum ship ride
- Ferris Wheel: Taller than average, good views over the park and eastern Bangkok
- Haunted House, Bumper Cars, and a dozen smaller family rides
The amusement zone is well-maintained for a park of its age. Some older rides have limited capacity and develop queues after midday.
Opening hours
Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays: 10:00–18:00 as of 2026.
Weekday opening is irregular and seasonal - the park does operate on Thai school holiday weekdays but is often closed on regular weekdays outside of peak season. Always check the current schedule at the official Siam Amazing Park website or call ahead before making the trip.
How to get there
By BTS + taxi (recommended): Take the Sukhumvit Line to On Nut (E9) or Bearing (E13), then continue by Grab or taxi. Journey time from Bearing is approximately 20–25 minutes (11 km). Total trip from Siam or Asok by this method: approximately 40–50 minutes. Grab fare from On Nut or Bearing: approximately ฿150–200.
By minivan from Victory Monument: Shared minivans to the eastern suburbs depart from Victory Monument (BTS Phaya Thai or Victory Monument station). Minivans toward Min Buri pass near the park - ask to be dropped at Siam Amazing Park. Fare approximately ฿30–50 per person. Slower and less predictable than Grab but the cheapest option.
By taxi from central Bangkok: Grab from Sukhumvit Soi 11 approximately ฿200–280 (30–45 minutes depending on traffic). From Siam or Chitlom, approximately ฿220–300.
By private transfer: Some Bangkok hotels arrange day-trip packages with transfers included. If you have a group of 4+, a private Grab van (GrabCar XL) is affordable and avoids the minivan logistics.
Practical tips for a full day
Arrive at 10:00. The Wave Pool fills up fast and the best lounge chairs go quickly. Getting there at opening gives you 1–2 hours of the water park before peak crowds.
Bring or rent lockers. Locker rental is available at the park (approximately ฿50–100 deposit). Bring your own padlock for extra security, or use the park’s key-lock system.
Bring reef-safe sunscreen. The Wave Pool and outdoor slides expose you to several hours of direct sun. Sunscreen is sold in the park shop but at a premium.
Food inside is affordable. Unlike many Bangkok attractions, Siam Amazing Park’s food stalls and restaurants are reasonably priced - roughly ฿80–180 per dish. Pad Thai, fried rice, grilled pork skewers, and soft drinks are all available.
Go on a weekday if possible. Weekends, particularly in the hot season (March–May) and school holidays, can be very crowded. Weekday queues for the main slides are typically under 10 minutes; weekend peak queues reach 30–45 minutes for the most popular slides.
Bring cash. Some concessions and locker stations are cash-only. ATMs are available inside the park but limited.
Who is it best for?
Siam Amazing Park works particularly well for:
- Families with children 5+ - child-friendly rides are plentiful and well-maintained
- Young adults wanting a full-day outdoor Bangkok experience that goes beyond temples
- Groups - the variety of zones keeps different preferences happy simultaneously
- Budget travellers - at ฿450–600 for a full day including two park zones, it is excellent value by Bangkok standards
